Botox Injections in St. Louis, MO

We will listen and work closely with each patient to achieve the best results.

When you frown, smile, squint or use any other common facial expression, your muscles contract under your skin. When you do it over and over, the result can be wrinkles.

How does it work?

Botox Cosmetic and Dysport decrease muscle activity in the areas where facial expressions tend to leave creases in the skin.

By injecting these muscles we can temporarily block nerve signals which will relieve many types of wrinkles including:

  • Worry lines (on the forehead)

  • Frown lines or “11’s” (space between eyebrows)

  • Crow’s feet (outside corner of eyes)

Untreated areas of the face remain unaffected although certain areas of the face, such as the eyebrows, can appreciate a nice lift to make your eyes appear bigger and brighter.

Dysport essentially acts as the alternative to Botox Cosmetic at All for YOU.

Both injectables work in a similar manner and the majority of patients are pleased with the improved, refreshed appearance after either treatment.

How many units of Botox will I need?

Without an assessment it is hard to say exactly how many units one might need but a general rule of thumb is about 20 units for the frown lines, 10 units for the forehead and 9-12 around each eye to treat crow’s feet. We recommend a complimentary consultation with our Nurse Injector to determine the plan

that is right for you.

What to expect:

It can take up to 24 hours for the neurotoxin to get into the muscle. A treatment only takes 15-20 minutes and with a few tiny injections, Botox results can be seen in 5-6 days following the procedure. Dysport results can be seen in 3-5 days following the procedure. Both neurotoxins can last up to 3-4 months
